Distribution

Frozen samples archived at the Australian Phenome Bank can be shipped to national or international organisations. Live or reanimated mice from our institute can also be provided on request.

We operate with the Department of Agriculture to enable the import and export of biological material and animals. We work closely with other research institutes such as the Jackson Laboratory, the world’s most comprehensive mouse resource repository providing international access for Australian researchers.

Distribution of live mice

Our import and export coordinator is responsible for the shipment of live mice which are reanimated from frozen stock samples of the APB.

This service covers the initial request, MTA agreements, official signed quotes, processing the reanimation request and/or additional tests.

Once live mice are available, export permits will be completed and the shipment with courier will be organised.
